Our workshop completed a custom steel display shelving and racks fabrication project for a busy fresh produce retail store in Footscray market. The retailer required sturdy shop shelving that could carry substantial weights of fruit and vegetables while presenting stock at an angle that encourages customers to browse.

We selected galvanized steel rectangular hollow sections for the frames because this material resists corrosion and handles the demands of a commercial retail store trading environment. Each rack was cut, notched and welded in our facility. The sloped design allows produce to sit forward for easy access, while the lower tier provides additional storage for boxed stock. The finished racks were delivered and installed on site, then fitted with tiered timber shelving that suits the warm character of the store.

The new display racks transformed the available floor space. The retailer now displays a greater variety of produce at comfortable viewing height, custom steel fabrication provides confidence that the shelving will perform for many years.
